The Ram 1500 lineup still includes the staple trim levels: Tradesman, Big Horn, Laramie, Rebel, and Limited, while the Tungsten is added, bringing a whole new meaning to the term luxury truck. Across the lineup, the Ram 1500 is updated and refreshed with a new front fascia featuring a larger and wider grille flanked by reshaped headlights and now-standard LED lighting. Overall, these features give the Ram 1500 a much more commanding road presence. The cabin of the Ram 1500 also received a complete overhaul for the 2025 model year, adding new design elements, more technology, and more premium materials. The Big Horn, for example, gains laser-etched trim accents on the center console, dashboard, and doors, along with embossed gear seat insert accents in either Diesel Gray or Black. Meanwhile, the Laramie recieves two all-new interior color scheme options: Sea Salt Gray and Bison Brown. Topping off the lineup is the all-new Tungsten trim. Inside, the Tungsten trim features an all-new 14.5-inch Uconnect 5 toucshcreen, two wireless charging pads, a 23-speaker Klipsch premium audio system, Natura Plus leather upholstery, 24-way power-adjustable front seats, heated/cooled front seats, and front seat massagers, among dozens of other exclusive features that take automotive luxury to the next level.

Upgrades to the 2025 Ram 1500 Engine Lineup

The Ram 1500’s engine lineup is almost completely overhauled for the 2025 model year, with the exception of the Pentastar 3.6L V6, which remains standard equipment. The first available engine option is the all-new Hurricane 6 engine. This is a 3.0L twin-turbocharged V6 engine available in a standard-output or high-output variant. The standard-output Hurricane 6 engine delivers a hefty 420 horsepower and 469 pound-feet of torque. While providing 25 more horsepower and 59 more ft-lb of torque than the previous generation’s 5.7L V8 engine, the twin-turbo V6 also offers better fuel economy due to its smaller displacement. Meanwhile, the high-output variant provides more performance to the tune of 540 horsepower and 520 lb-ft of torque. The final upgrade to the powertrain lineup comes exclusively with the Ram 1500 Ramcharger, which you can learn more about below!

What is the 2025 Ram 1500 Ramcharger?

The Ram 1500 Ramcharger is all-new for the 2025 model year. Essentially a separate lineup from the gas-powered Ram 1500, the Ramcharger is the brand’s first-ever plug-in hybrid electric vehicle (PHEV). Its gas power comes from a 3.6L V6 engine with an onboard generator mounted to it. When the driver presses the gas pedal, it creates mechanical energy. This energy is sent to the onboard generator, which converts it into electrical energy, which is then sent to the 92-kilowatt-hour battery pack that powers the electric drive modules (EDMs). There is a 250-kilowatt (kW) EDM on the front axle, while a 238-kW EDM is found on the rear axle. The generator’s power an be used to recharge the battery when it is depleted or if the driver wants to save the battery’s power. It can also be used to power the wheels at the same time that the battery does, achieving the maximum power output. By having no direct mechanical path from the engine to the wheels, the Ramcharger offers superior fuel efficiency. The Ramcharger also offers mind-boggling performance to the tune of 663 horsepower and 615 lb-ft of torque, which translates to a 4.4-second 0-60 time, a 14,000-pound towing capacity, and a 2,625-pound payload capacity. The Ramcharger distinguishes itself from the traditional Ram 1500 lineup with a modernized and LED-illuminated ‘Ram’ script on the grille and tailgate, an upgraded headlight design, and more standout features.
