Test Drive the Gladiator at Humes Chrysler Jeep Dodge Ram

There are midsize pickups, and then there is the 2023 Jeep Gladiator! This is the Gladiator’s fourth year on the market, and it can be best described as a truck version of the Wrangler with its seven-slot grille and round headlights. There are two versions of the Gladiator, one is used for everyday street travel, and the other is used for off-roading. The off-road trims are the Rubicon and the Mojave, with the Rubicon used for the trails and the Mojave used for more desert terrain. Under the hood of the Gladiator, you will find either a V6 or a diesel-powered V6 depending on your preference, and both provide you with a ton of horsepower and torque! Overall, four trims are available for the Gladiator, so continue reading down as we review all each one has to offer!

Sport

Before we get into what you can get for features on the Sport, let’s talk about what’s under the hood. There are two engines to choose from, with the base engine being a powerful 3.6-liter V6 that pumps out 285 horsepower and 260 lb-ft of torque and pairs with either a six-speed manual or eight-speed automatic transmission. Optional is a diesel-powered version of the V6, which pumps out 260 horsepower and 442 lb-ft of torque which will come standard with the smooth eight-speed automatic. As for features, all versions of the Gladiator will come with a five-foot bed and seating for five passengers, and the Sport, in particular, comes standard with 17-inch steel wheels with 32-inch tires, dampened tailgate, a tilt-and-telescoping steering wheel, push-button start, an eight-speaker audio system, and a 7-inch touchscreen with Apple CarPlay and Android Auto. Other features include trailer sway damping, a soft folding top, and removable doors.
