Discover its All-Electric Power Here!

It’s no secret that the automotive industry is heading toward an electric future. With more and more brands releasing more and more models, Ram is joining the pack with the all-new, all-electric 2025 Ram 1500 REV! Solely using electric power, Ram set out on a mission to provide drivers with a fully-electric truck with all of the capabilities expected from Ram with none of the emissions. And that mission was accomplished by the 2025 Ram 1500 REV. Please continue reading below to learn more about the power and capability of Ram’s first-ever all-electric truck!

Ram 1500 REV Powertrain

Next-level performance is provided to Ram 1500 REV drivers with two 250-kilowatt electric drive modules (EDMs) that combine the inverter, gearbox, and motor with all-wheel drive capability. One EDM is placed on the front axle with an automatic wheel-end disconnect, which allows free spinning of the front wheels when the road conditions necessitate it to maximize efficiency. The second 250-kW EDM is placed on the rear axle and is available with an electronic locking rear differential for maximum traction. As was mentioned before, the Ram 1500 REV comes standard with all-wheel drive, thanks to having one electric motor on each axle. Performance numbers that Ram is targeting for their first-ever all-electric truck include 620 lb-ft of torque, 654 horsepower, and a 0-60 time of 4.4 seconds. The electric power allows the torque to be sent to the wheels instantaneously at any speed or even from a dead stop, providing outstanding performance on and off the road. In addition to the Ram 1500 REV’s performance, it is targeting best-in-class towing and payload capacities of 14,000 pounds and 2,700 pounds, respectively.

Steering and Handling Features for the Ram 1500 REV

The suspension system for the 2025 Ram 1500 REV is unique and more advanced than any other. It features four-corner air suspension with adaptive damping and active leveling. The air suspension system gives the REV five different height modes: Aero, Entry/Exit, Normal, Off-Road 1, and Off-Road 2. Drivers can select the mode that fits their current setting. For example, Aero mode is ideal for highway driving because it lowers the suspension, optimizing the truck’s aerodynamics to maximize efficiency. Meanwhile, Off-Road 1 is designed for light off-roading and raises the suspension for increased ground clearance, while Off-Road 2 raises the ride height to its maximum height to pass over rugged terrain. In addition to air suspension, the Ram 1500 REV comes with a multi-link independent rear suspension. This improves the truck’s handling, traction, ride comfort, towing capability, and braking performance while reducing road noise and vibrations.

What Powers the Ram 1500 REV Powertrain?

The 2025 Ram 1500 REV comes with two battery-size options. The first is a 168-kilowatt-hour battery pack, which targets a driving range of up to 350 miles. Meanwhile, a 228-kWh battery pack targets a 500-mile driving range. Both battery packs are designed to give drivers up to 110 miles of range in around ten minutes when using an 800-volt Level 3 DC Fast Charger charging at up to 350 kW. The Ram 1500 REV provides owners with revolutionary charging features to offer more convenience, including vehicle-to-vehicle, vehicle-to-home, and vehicle-grid bi-directional charging. These systems allow the 1500 REV to recharge another EV, power the home during a storm, and supply power to a campsite, tailgate party, or work site. To perform these duties, a 7.2-kW power panel can be found in the bed of the Ram 1500 REV as standard equipment. Meanwhile, an additional power panel is available for the front trunk, providing up to 3.6 kW.
