What New Features does the 2022 Grand Cherokee Have?
The 2022 Grand Cherokee is following along the lines of the classic Jeep design we all know and love, with an upright frame, and iconic seven-slot grille. However, the new Grand Cherokee feels sleeker and more upscale than previous models, with new standard LED lights in the front and rear, and available features like 21-inch wheels, and a two-tone exterior with a black-painted roof for the upper trim levels. Inside, the standard Grand Cherokee layout features two rows of seats, with heated seats in both rows standard on all trim levels starting with the Limited. Other features include leather-trimmed upholstery, a heated leather-wrapped steering wheel, and ambient LED lighting with customizable color options. You can also opt for the three-row layout which will afford you seating for up to seven passengers, as well as the ability to fold down both rear rows of seats for a palatial rear storage area. Other available features of the 2022 Grand Cherokee include a dual-pane panoramic sunroof, and power-adjustable front seats with memory and massage.
How Capable is the 2022 Jeep Grand Cherokee?
The Grand Cherokee has the heart of a Jeep, with all the power and capability that the heritage brand is known for. The 2022 model is no exception, and even offers a Trail-Rated Trailhawk trim for those of us who love to explore the rugged terrain of an off-road trail. Even with the base Laredo model, you’ll be able to get 293 horsepower and 260 lb-ft of torque, thanks to a potent 3.6-liter V6 engine. The Laredo comes with standard rear-wheel drive, though 4WD is available for the whole Grand Cherokee lineup. The second engine option is the 5.7-liter V8, which pairs with standard 4-wheel drive, and delivers 357 horsepower and 390 lb-ft of torque. With the V8, you can also tow up to 7,200 pounds, while the V6 tows a respectable 6,200 pounds. If you opt for the Trailhawk trim, you’ll have the added benefit of the Selec-Terrain Traction Management System, and Quadra-Lift Air Suspension with up to 10.7 inches of ground clearance. It also comes with a disconnecting front sway bar, front tow hooks, and a 2-speed transfer case with 4 Low mode, perfect for rock crawling.
What New Tech Features does the Grand Cherokee Have?
As we mentioned above, the 2022 Jeep Grand Cherokee has an overall sleek and refined look, both inside and out. One element that really adds to this modern design is the new cutting-edge technology for Grand Cherokee passengers to enjoy! Like all new Jeep vehicles, the Grand Cherokee comes with the Uconnect 5 infotainment system, with wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, and either an 8.4-inch or 10.1-inch touchscreen.
