2021 Jeep Wrangler at Humes Chrysler Jeep Dodge Ram
The Jeep Wrangler continues to dominate the competition for one primary reason. It’s a go-anywhere and do-anything vehicle that keeps the original military Jeeps’ spirit that carries back to the 1940s. In 2021, the Wrangler looks to continue being the go-to off-road SUV with premium off-road features, intelligent tech, and fantastic engine options. A few new surprises for this model year as the Wrangler features a plug-in hybrid engine known as the 4xe, which takes the turbocharged four-cylinder and adds hybrid elements to deliver 375 horsepower and an estimated 25-miles of all-electric range. There is also a Rubicon 392 that packs a punch with a 6.4-liter V8 that comes with a whopping 470 horsepower. We have so much to say about the 2021 Jeep Wrangler. Continue reading for more info!

What are the Wrangler’s engine options?
If you like powerful SUVs, you’ll love the 2021 Jeep Wrangler! All trims come standard with a robust 3.6-liter V6 that delivers a swift 285 horsepower and 260 lb-ft of torque, which comes with Jeep’s mild eTorque system, which improves the Wrangler’s fuel economy. The engine is available with either a six-speed manual or eight-speed automatic transmission. Several optional engines are available for the Wrangler, with the first being a turbocharged 2.0-liter four-cylinder, which pumps out 270 horsepower and 295 lb-ft of torque. Four-door Wranglers can choose a turbocharged 3.0-liter diesel V6 that gets you 260 horsepower and 442 lb-ft of torque. These two engines pair exclusively with the eight-speed automatic. New to the Wrangler lineup is a 6.4-liter V8 with a pavement scorching 470 horsepower and 470 lb-ft of torque, which is available on the Rubicon. Midway through the model year, drivers can expect a 4xe, which uses the turbocharged four-cylinder and adds hybrid elements to deliver 375 horsepower and up to 25-miles of all-electric range.
Can you talk about the 2021 Wrangler’s features?
Four trim levels are available for the Jeep Wrangler, and each delivers impressive features. Starting things out is the Sport, which comes with 17-inch wheels, skid plates, tow hooks, fog lights, and a 5-inch touchscreen. There is a Willy’s sub trim for the Sport, which adds a limited-slip rear differential, four-wheel disk breaks, and all-weather floor mats. Next is the Sport S, which has alloy wheels, air conditioning, a leather-wrapped steering wheel, and tinted windows. There is an Altitude sub trim for the Sport S, adding black 18-inch wheels with all-terrain tires and an upgraded off-road suspension. If you’re looking for more tech and luxury features, you’ll get it with the Sahara, which has a full-time four-wheel-drive, a body-colored grille with chrome inserts, body-colored fender flairs, and a 7-inch touchscreen with Apple CarPlay and Android Auto. Altitude and High Altitude versions of the Sahara add a body-colored three-piece hardtop with headliner, leather seats, and a sport-tuned suspension. If you want to venture further into the wilderness, the Rubicon gives you all the off-road features you’ll need with 17-inch wheels with 33-inch off-road tires, 4:1 low-range gearing, electronic locking front and rear differentials, rock rails, and an electronic disconnecting front stabilizer bar.
What can you say about the Jeep Wrangler’s safety systems?
Beyond the Jeep Wrangler’s power and tech, the Wrangler is one of the safest SUVs on the road, thanks to a bevy of impressive safety systems. Available is a Blind-Spot Monitoring System that will scan the other lane and help you make safer and more efficient lane changes. Also available is an Adaptive Cruise Control system, which allows the driver to maintain a pre-set distance between the Wrangler and all the cars in front of the SUV. One of the best safety systems is the Rear Parking Assist System, which uses sensors to alert you when you’re close to another vehicle or object while backing up.
