DIY Car Window Cleaner

I've gotten pretty good at cleaning my car regularly, but my nemesis is still the windows. I HATE streaky windows, especially when the sun shine through and highlights how bad they really are.  I have kids that touch them ALL the time, so they're always full of fingerprints. I clean them often, but I've yet to find a cleaner I really love. Glass cleaners and vinegar always end up streaky, and I try to use microfiber clothes, but it still ends up streaky when the sun shines through.

I found this DIY recipe a few weeks ago, and so far it seems to be the best I've tried! In a spray bottle, using a funnel, combine:
  • 1 cup white vinegar
  • ½ cup rubbing alcohol
  • 2 ¼ cups water
  • 1 tablespoon cornstarch (yes, really)

Shake until mixed well. Spray and wipe with a flour sack cloth (any cloth will do, but flour sack works the best for me). After cleaning, wipe again with a DRY cloth to really shine things up!The cornstarch is the magic ingredient here. Make sure you shake the bottle every time to incorporate the cornstarch throughout. The rubbing alcohol keeps everything from freezing, so it's safe to keep the in the car all winter!
