Where does the power for the Durango come from?

The Dodge Durango is one of the most powerful SUVs ever created, with several available engine options. First up is the 3.6-liter V6 that comes with 295 horsepower and 260 lb-ft of torque and can haul up to 6,200 pounds which comes standard on the SXT and the GT. Next is the first of several V8 options. The first is a 5.7-liter V8 that pumps out 360 horsepower and 390 lb-ft of torque available on the R/T and the Citadel. With the Citadel and the R/T, you can tow about anything as it can haul up to 7,400 pounds with the Citadel and 8,700 pounds with the R/T, thanks to the Tow n Go package. Are you looking for an engine that is a touch more powerful? There is always the SRT that comes with a 6.4-liter V8 that pounds out 475 horsepower and 470 lb-ft of torque. Even more power can be derived from the SRT Hellcat trim as it has a supercharged 6.2-liter V8 that blasts out a mind-boggling 710 horsepower and 645 lb-ft of torque and can hit 60mph in 3.5 seconds or less.

What kind of features does the Durango have?

Six extraordinary trim levels are available for the Dodge Durango, and each one comes with an excessive amount of features. The first trim is the SXT starts things off well with a push-button start, three-zone climate control, power-folding third-row headrests, a leather-wrapped steering wheel, and an 8.4-inch touchscreen infotainment system with Android Auto and Apple CarPlay. Next is the GT, which adds remote ignition, a power liftgate, a power driver’s seat, a 115-volt power outlet, and a satellite radio. Are you looking for a ton of luxury features? The Citadel trim has you covered with leather and vinyl upholstery, heated front and second-row seats, and a nine-speaker stereo with a subwoofer. Meanwhile, you get more performance-enhanced features with the R/T that has upgraded brakes while looking and driving more aggressively. The most powerful trims are the SRT and the SRT Hellcat, which rounds things out with an electronic limited-slip differential, Brembo brakes, a performance-tuned suspension, ventilated seats, and a new front fascia with a chin splitter.

Can you talk about the Durango’s safety features?

We sure can! While the Durango is one of the most powerful SUVs on the planet, it’s also one of the safest, thanks to a bevy of available safety features. Available is a Blind Spot Monitoring System that will check all the vehicle areas and help you make safer lane changes. Also available is an Adaptive Cruise Control System that allows the driver to maintain a pre-set distance between the Durango and the vehicles ahead of it. The last safety system we will talk about is also the most innovative. They are rain-sensing windshield wipers that automatically activate when rain is sensed on your windshield.
